Lincoln Rampage Lacrosse – High School Club Program

Position Overview

The Lincoln Rampage Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach is responsible for leading, developing, and managing all aspects of a competitive high school club lacrosse program. This role emphasizes excellence in coaching, player development, sportsmanship, and community representation.

The Head Coach serves as a key ambassador of Lincoln Rampage Lacrosse, fostering a culture of accountability, discipline, and respect while advancing the mission and goals of the Lincoln Lacrosse Association (LLA). This position reports directly to the LLA Board.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Culture

• Lead and promote the mission, values, and standards of Lincoln Rampage Lacrosse.

• Foster a positive, disciplined, and competitive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, accountability, and personal growth.

• Serve as a visible ambassador for the program within the local lacrosse community and beyond.

• Model ethical conduct consistent with LLA, NELAX, and USA Lacrosse

expectations.

Coaching & Player Development

• Plan, organize, and conduct effective practices focused on skill development, conditioning, and team systems.

• Prepare athletes and implement game strategies for competitive success.

• Mentor student-athletes in character development.

• Evaluate player performance and support individual growth throughout the season.

Team Operations

• Schedule and coordinate all practices, games, and team events in alignment with LLA and league requirements.

• Maintain and communicate accurate team rosters, including additions and changes.

• Submit field, facility, and scheduling requests to LLA Board to align with Lincoln Sports Foundation (LSF)

• Prepare and submit travel itineraries for away competitions.

• Ensure all program operations align with LLA policies.

Staff & Team Leadership

• Recruit, hire, and supervise assistant coaches.

• Provide direction, development, and evaluation for coaching staff.

• Communicate clearly with captains, players, families, and team

representatives.

Recruitment & Program Growth

• Actively recruit and retain high school student-athletes within the Lincoln community and surrounding areas.

• Promote the program through outreach, clinics, and community engagement.

• Assist in developing alumni engagement events and program-building initiatives.

Administrative Oversight

• Submit budget requests for approval as requested by the LLA Board.

• Participate in fundraising efforts to support team operations and growth.

• Attend and contribute to all required LLA Board and coach’s meetings.

• Complete required reports, postseason reviews, and administrative

documentation.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure full compliance with LLA, NELAX, and USA Lacrosse rules and

regulations.

• Maintain awareness of rule changes and best practices annually.

• Coordinate with medical personnel regarding athlete safety, injuries, and clearances.

• Uphold all background check and program safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Prior lacrosse coaching or playing experience; high school or collegiate level preferred.

• Strong knowledge of lacrosse techniques, strategies, and rules (USA Lacrosse).

• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to inspire, mentor, and lead high school student-athletes.

• Commitment to building a respected, competitive, and community-focused program.

Additional Requirements

• Successful completion of a background check.

• Availability for practices, games, travel, and offseason programming (evenings and weekends required).

• Strong alignment with the values and mission of Lincoln Rampage Lacrosse, NELAX and USA Lacrosse.

Rampage provides student-athletes with high level coaching, challenging practices, and an opportunity to compete with and against the best lacrosse players in the Midwest.
